I think it's good for people to 'come out,' although not always necessary. I personally felt that it was necessary for me. It allowed me to open up, be myself (the most important reason), live one whole life (not a split double life, the other most important reason), and a few other things.

I wish I could come out via BBC News or CNN. This would prevent the whole having to come out to each and every person you've ever known or will ever meet. I don't think coming out should be a lifelong process. It was important for me to come out to certain people at the time and now I'd rather folks just figure it out. It can be hard for people to 'figure it out' cause I don't fit the socially defined stereotype of gay.

Ray posed a few questions for me in the comment section of the last post. I thought I'd take the time here to respond. If you've stumbled upon this site, then please feel free to ask me questions. If science bores you, then can skip the science stuff to the gay marriage question below.

"I read about the earth moving. Thought that was interesting. Can you think of that maybe moving way out of control one day?"

I guess that is potentially possible. The movie 2012 comes to mind. Although, I think 2012 is filled with inaccuracies and science fiction. In general, it was a mostly entertaining movie at the theater, but I didn't buy the storyline and parts of the movie made me cringe.

The largest recorded earthquake was a magnitude 9.5 and occurred in Valdivia, Chile in 1960(red marker below*). The more recent 2010 earthquake in Maule, Chile was a magnitude 8.8 (yellow marker).
*markers are not necessarily the center of the earthquake

I can't find the original source anymore, but I read that the 1960 quake displaced a very large land mass that was much larger than the recent quake. If I had to guess, then an Earth-changing earthquake would require an extremely large amount of the Earth's crust moving closer to the core. (random thought, how does the movement of the Earth's axis change the Earth's interaction with the Moon?)

I don't think the Earth will move so far off it's axis from an earthquake to cause real harm, however, this could be a step in the process of the poles switching. This is probably a naive thought. (spoiler alert) I don't think that the continents will randomly slip, as portrayed in 2012, because they are all connected and the oceans are part of this connection.

In disagreement with much scientific thought that I have come across, I do think that earthquakes are connected. This does not mean that the Haitian earthquake set off the Chilean earthquake. However, earthquakes cause global shifts of continents and their vibrations must have some consequence on regions far from the epicenter. The instrument for measuring the magnitude of the earthquake is never at the site, but it still "feels" the vibrations.

My response to my mom when she asked was "we'll see. I haven't been dating my manfriend for long enough to say 'till death do we part', but it's a card in the deck." I've thought about getting married. I don't know that I'll be able to get married in the state of Georgia in my lifetime, but I don't plan to live in Atlanta forever. It's depressing to think about getting married in another state or city only to return home with a piece of paper with little to no legal or societal meaning in you hometown.

However, just like every little boy, I've dreamed of getting married since I was nine. I'm joking of course. For me I wasn't ever allowed to get married, because I'm gay. It wasn't even an option when I was born and Clinton killed it with DOMA when I was thirteen. At this point I knew I was gay, but I was hiding in the corner of the closet. Maybe that is why I've always had such opposition towards "straights" feeling that they must marry (especially before I came out).

These laws that restrict a group of society infuriate me! I'm hopeful that the future of the US will be a more accepting and not excepting one. ;)

Apparently an 8.8 magnitude earthquake has global effects. The recent Chilean earthquake knocked around more than just Chile. I read in this article in Science News that the Earth's axis has shifted by 8 cm. The result is that an Earth day is now 1.62 microseconds shorter i.e. the Earth is spinning faster. Don't freak out just yet, everything should be just fine. Apparently the Earth's axis is constantly wobbling and changes in the position of the axis can be of several meters. Conservation of angular momentum is at work. A large chunk of the Earth's crust is now closer to the core due to the quake. It's like when a figure skater brings his hands closer together while spinning. The result is faster spinning.

Also in the headlines, gay DCites (people that live in the District of Columbia?) can now get married! Woo! ;) :)

Crazy English

I've been looking forward to camping in the coming month(s). My manfriend and I are planning a trip to Congaree National Park in South Carolina sometime between now and the second week in April. It should be fun. They offer guided canoe tours for free (no need to own a canoe) when the weather is above 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

Anyhow, Manfriend bought a new alcohol stove to try out. Alcohol is a cleaner burning fuel than white gas and doesn't leave that gas smell behind if you accidentally spill it on yourself. We tried it out last night and all went well. As a chemist and generally cautious person, I tend too read all the warnings on a package I haven't seen before.

The English warnings on the metal alcohol container said, "flammable." However, I noticed that the Spanish warning said "inflammable." Later I come to find out that inflammable is also an English word and it means flammable. I find this difficult to comprehend, because combustible is the opposite of incombustible. I'll chalk this anomaly up to the many inconsistencies in the English language. Apparently the prefix "in" is derived from Latin in all these instances.

Anyway, alcohol is flammable and if it is high enough proof or percent (twice the proof) it is easily ignitable (100 proof or 50% and higher).

A Land Where Few (two) Live ...

Some of the first words from Heimo say a lot, "Only national wildlife refuge with polar bear ... gotten a lot of media attention cause they want to drill for oil here ... eventually they just want to get people out of the land here."

Who could possibly defend this place from loggers, oil seekers, fur traders, etc. The law and then the weather keep most at bay. Would Heimo have a say? If no one lived in a place that no one visited, then would we exploit the resources there? It is possible to change the law?

The US National Park System was created but has not been perfected. We deserve stronger environmental laws. Think about this next time you vote for a politician.

Better than the Best Hard-boiled Egg Recipe*

"Better than the Best Hard-boiled Egg Recipe*" is my only successful hard boiled egg recipe. It is not solely based on any recipe that I've read. The reason for the post, I've rarely been able to hard-boil an egg that's easy to peel. I'll have to experiment to see what ingredients are actually necessary. Also, I'm not certain that the eggs will be easy to peel tomorrow. I think the key to an easy to peel hard-boiled egg is shocking temperature changes.

Here's the process:
Obtain Eggs, as many as you like but don't overcrowd the pot. The eggs should not be on top of each other and they should have some space between them. Remove the eggs from the refrigerator and place them in lukewarm tap water.
Fill an appropriate size pot with enough water to submerge the eggs under about an inch of water. Add salt and vinegar to the water (about 1 tbsp of each, a splash of vinegar and a generous dash of salt). Vinegar can change the flavor of the egg, so beware.
Bring the water to a boil. Once the water is boiling carefully add the eggs (use a slotted spoon to keep the eggs from cracking and your fingers from burning). Two of the eight eggs that I hard-boiled cracked, but the vinegar keeps the white of the egg from spilling too much. The broken eggs boiled just fine.
Boil the eggs for 1 minute. Then, cover and remove the pot from the heat source. Allow the eggs to sit covered for 15 minutes.
Pour off the hot water. Fill the pot with cold tap water and lots of ice.
The eggs can be eaten as soon as they're cool. I like to add a bit of cayenne, black pepper and salt after I peel the egg.

Pizza Dough

I made pizza dough for the first time today. The recipe can be found at the bottom of this post. I didn't have a food processor, so I used a bowl and my hands. I hope the pizza turns out well. I'm making it for lunch tomorrow. I think I'll make two: one with, sauteed onions, mushrooms, garlic and fresh basil, and the other with pepperoni and banana peppers.

I recently watched Julie & Julia. It's hasn't really inspired me to cook, I cook often, but it has made me hungry for new dishes. It is a good movie though.

I made chicken and dumplings the other day. I had a recipe, but neither the desire or ingredients to follow it. Technically, I wouldn't know how to make the same dish again. My babe liked it and I thought it was pretty good too. However, I used frozen dumplings that he bought at the store. They were cut into strips. I've only know dumplings as balls. *ha* 'balls' *chuckle*

In the past, I said I'd never make chicken and dumplings. Then I forgot and my manfriend tricked me by buying frozen dumplings. Although my first experience of making chx & dumplings was aweful, I've gotten over it and want to make it right (with tasty balls).

Here's the recipe for the pizza dough:
Whole-Wheat Pizza Dough

To make 12 ounces dough:
3/4 cup whole-wheat flour
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 package quick-rising yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons), such as Fleischmann's RapidRise
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/2-2/3 cup hot water (120-130°F)
2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil

To make 1 pound dough:
1 cup whole-wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 package quick-rising yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons), such as Fleischmann's RapidRise
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
3/4 cup hot water (120-130°F)
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

1. Combine whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, yeast, salt and sugar in a food processor; pulse to mix. Combine hot water and oil in a measuring cup. With the motor running, gradually pour in enough of the hot liquid until the mixture forms a sticky ball. The dough should be quite soft. If it seems dry, add 1 to 2 tablespoons warm water; if too sticky, add 1 to 2 tablespoons flour. Process until the dough forms a ball, then process for 1 minute to knead.
2. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Coat a sheet of plastic wrap with cooking spray and place it, sprayed-side down, over the dough. Let the dough rest for 10 to 20 minutes before rolling.
3. Place a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet on the lowest oven rack;preheat oven to 500°F or highest setting. Roll and top the pizza as desired(we suggest a 13-inch circle) and bake the pizza until the bottom is crisp and golden, 10 to 14 minutes. Serve immediately
Make Ahead Tip: Store in a plastic bag coated with cooking spray in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Bring to room temperature before using.

- Per 12 ounces: 766 calories; 12 g fat (2 g sat, 8 g mono); 0 mg cholesterol; 142 g carbohydrate; 26 g protein; 16 g fiber; 1,882 mg sodium.
- Per 1 pound: 1,032 calories; 18 g fat (3 g sat, 12 g mono); 0 mg cholesterol; 189 g carbohydrate; 33 g protein; 21 g fiber; 2,509 mg sodium.

Life's been okay.

I dislike George Lopez because I think he's a bigot (sorry for the randomness, he just appeared on my TV as I was typing).

I like Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, because he stood up for a minority of people (gays in the US Military). Defense Secretary Robert Gates also supports the "President's Decision." That is Obama's campaign promise to repeal 'Don't ask. Don't tell.'

I think John McCain's statement in October 2006, "The day that the leadership of the military comes to me and says, 'Senator, we ought to change the policy,' then I think we ought to consider seriously changing it," shows that he thought no 'leadership of the military' would ever consider overturning DADT.

I strongly dislike John McCain in February 2009 when he said, "At this moment of immense hardship for our armed services, we should not be seeking to overturn the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy."

I like NOVA. Tonight's episode is about Machu Picchu. I hope the Peruvian's are recovering from the landslides in that area.

I was excited when I first heard that I would be able to follow Perry v. Schwarzenegger on Youtube. Unfortunately the US Supreme Court barred video coverage ~~until they could review the issue. I'm not sure what the status is as of now, but~~ below are some links to NY Times Bay Area Blog coverage of the trial. I'm disappointed that I haven't heard more about this case from other news sources. The judge on the trial is currently resting, thinking, etc. We probably won't here a verdict until March and closing arguments still have to occur.

Last weekend was filled with movies for me. I rented two from Blockbuster Express at the grocery store, Publix. It's a great deal at $1 per rental. I also saw two in the theater. Here's the breakdown of Final Destination 4, Pandorum, Up in the Air, and Legion:

Final Destination 4 (in 2-D) This movie is not a sequel. It is just the same old story shown in 3-D. I thought my 3-D glasses from Avatar might work; however, the 3-D in Final Destination 4 is more like old school Red/Blue 3-D. The Blockbuster Express Cube didn't provide 3-D glasses with the movie so we watched it in 2-D. The only redeeming characteristics are most likely the 3-D special effects. Without the effects, this movie is worthless and not worth the dollar and time I spent on it.

Pandorum turned out to be a pretty good flick. It was worth the rental fee. I kind of like Dennis Quaid. He reminds me of Harrison Ford in a lot of ways. I would watch this one again.

Up in the Air was worth the theater price; however, you don't gain anything from seeing this one in the theater. If you live in Atlanta, then you might get a chuckle out of or be able to guess the recommended ribs place mentioned in the movie. *spoiler - it's Fat Matt's* I would second this vote; however, there are other rib joints in Atlanta. The best depends on where you live.

Legion, aweful, aweful, aweful ... maybe a rental, but I feel cheated out of the high theater priced ticket. Can you believe I paid $12 to see this movie? The movie might have been good if Christopher Walkin played Gabriel and it was part of the Prophecy series (which i recommend watching).

I thought the recent cold snap in Atlanta would have killed off the dandelions, but I managed to find the remenants of this one in my manfriend's garden. For your viewing pleasure:

Atlanta is probably the best place in the South to be gay, Miami doesn't count. I'm told that's Northern Puerto Rico (or maybe it's Cuba). Don't get me wrong, I love Puerto Ricans and would vote for a 51st state. It's just that, as far as a lot of people in the South are concerned, Floridabama is the closest Florida gets to "The South." I'm a Yankee so this is all hearsay.

Anyhow, I feel that the Advocate has been misled in some ways, but dead-on in others. Here's my 5 point critique of their view of Atlanta (quotes are taken from the Advocate article).

5. "Georgia isn’t the most gay-friendly state" I completely agree. Outside of midtown Atlanta and a seldom few spots in Georgia, holding another man's hand in public might get you a preach'n to.

4. "29 gay bars" It's true, Atlanta has a good selection of gay bars. We lost one recently, the Sizzler ... I mean the Sizzler turned into the gay bar called Stage Door in Tucker, GA. :'( Their Friday karaoke dj did them in or the fact that it was in Tucker. We also gained one, Mixx. It was hot the week before the grand opening. The grand opening weekend was good too, but I haven't been back since. I wish them luck. The most unfortunate part about the gay bars in Atlanta is that everyone is looking for Backstreet, the 24hr bar that closed in 2004.

3. "one of the nation’s largest Prides in October" I hope that it's the largest Pride in the us in October. Let me know if there's another. The only reason Atlanta has Pride in October is because of a drought and city politics that kept Class A events out of Piedmont Park until November 2009. The Dogwood Festival, the Peachtree Road Race and Pride competed for one slot that would be allowed to return to Atlanta. The Dogwood Festival, an arts festival in the park that I love, was granted the one Class A event in the Park for 2009. But then, the Peachtree Road Race was also allowed to end at the park during their normal date of July 4th. The gays in Atlanta were also granted some lenience by letting Pride return to Piedmont Park on October 31st. We'll see if Atlanta can afford the normal June Pride date in 2010. I'm told it will most likely be in the Fall.

2. "MondoHomo" ... ? ... I guess I'll have to check this out this year. Along with Bear Weekend in Atlanta.

Seeing as I live in Atlanta and own a National Parks Passport book, I thought I'd take the time on MLK Jr. Day to get a cancellation stamp at the MLK Jr. National Historic Site.

The Visitor's Center is about a mile from my place, so Manfriend and I walked. Yesterday was a beautiful day in Atlanta. Here's some photos of the trip:

The holidays are over and a new year has begun. I got a new camera for Christmas and I've taken quite a few photos. I thought I'd post a few.

Since I've taken over 300 photos, there might be a few more similar posts. I've decided to proceed in reverse chronological order. Here's Atlanta's "big snowstorm of 2010" ... well the day after:

I spotted some kids standing on the ice at Piedmont Park's Lake Clara Meer. The adult in the picture promoted the activity with a "who walks on water" statement.

No shit! The frozen "dock" that's in the previous photo can be seen in the background of this photo.

I'm out, proud about it, in a relationship with my manfriend, but I feel like I left that life behind when I came back "home," for a xmas visit.

I've spent 80% of my life in Pittsburgh. I moved down to Atlanta a few years ago. Therefore, Pittsburgh is my "home" away from my home in Atlanta.

When you became sick I took you to Dr. Norton. He's not always the best doc in a box, but he got us through some tough times. Never once did I have to reformat you or destroy your lovely hard disk memories.

There was a time when you refused to be a laptop and required constant electrical power. I was upset, but determined to solve the problem. You were hesitant at first, but now you love your second battery with nearly twice the power storage.

However, this year has been more rough than others. Your battery doesn't last as long as it once did. Your power cord is about to break and you don't even recognize the ability to charge your battery when I plug you in.

Today I had to perform surgery on you to fix your monitor hinge. Trust me, it was as painful for me as it was for you. The only solution was to take a pair of cutters to your casing and install rubber band supports. I'm sorry for such a crude solution, but I wouldn't be able to bear the pain of your death if something were to go wrong during internal surgery.

Lastly, this is very sad to say, but I think you only have six months to a year left to live.

Atlanta's annual zombie walk was on Sunday. Three of my friends and I dressed up in zombie makeup and fake blood. I'm in the right side of this picture. It's like where's waldo.

The walk was a lot of fun. It went through Oakland cemetery and then down to the five points MARTA station. It was pretty awesome to see people's reaction to 500 zombies raiding the streets.

I'm not much of an organizer. I usually have good intentions of keeping things tidy and in their place, as I see fit. My good intentions are worthless for the most part. I blame it on lack of preparation before moving. In four years I had moved nine times.

The tenth move was down to Atlanta. At that point I had too many boxes of unopened crap to care to look through. I tend to throw everything in a box, move the box, and set the box in a corner. My bad behavior led to a corner of boxes I didn't need or want.

I've been in the same place in Atlanta for four years and I built up more piles of "things I had to have" or generous gifts and donations. The corner of boxes even grew a bit. Don't worry, I'm not one of those crazy hoarders on TV that have to keep junk mail, sugar packets, or half used McDonald's barbecue sauce containers.

Today, I declare my apartment more clutter free than ever before! I did it. Yes, I've had a lot of time on my hands and that helped.

August 22, 2006 ... three years later

The images below are from three years ago. The apartment complex that I live in flooded. My place was fine, because it's outside the flood zone.
Tonight the same thing happened again. They've been trying to fix up the flooded apartments on and off for about a year. All that progress was under a foot of water for a few minutes tonight.
Once again, about a dozen cars found themselves swamped. One not so wise person drove into about two feet of water when they tried to leave the apartment complex. I have some sympathy, but I'll use this as a way to warn all to never drive into a puddle of water where both your front and back wheels will be submerged. If you don't know how deep the puddle is, then find another route. I can't say I've never been guilty of driving through a large puddle.

I'm in full organization mode. I don't think I've done this in 1? 2? 4? 7 years? I'm going through things that I had in '98!

The place is starting to come together. The most recent defunct piece of technology I found was a zip drive. Remember those plastic rectangles that only a mac could handle. I just threw three away.

The oldest technological storage device that I can't use (I have to say that because I still hold onto VHS tapes and a VCR. sidetracked side note, I bought some bear porn VHS tapes for $10 a piece in P-town.) is a cassette tape. I parted with my cassette player a few years ago. Interestingly, I acquired the tape of my friends band after I had the ability to listen to it. Why they thought they should make cassette recording ... I guess a lot of older cars don't have CD players.

Crosswalks

The crosswalk ... a safe haven for pedestrians? No.

In Atlanta the crosswalk means ... absolutely nothing, say it again.

A driver will actually yell at you if he has to stop for you in a crosswalk. If you'd like to safely cross in a crosswalk, then carry a white stick. Someone, might, might, stop for you. Oh and the cops don't enforce the laws here.

The cities in the US have forgotten that the pedestrian came before the car. That's not to say, you should step in front of a car but drivers should be respectful. The streets make a city, not the cars that drive on them.

I was in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin last weekend. The City Council wanted to block off the street every second Thursday to have a farmers market. It would also coincide with a concert series they have in a courtyard that faces the street. The Sheriff of the town agreed with their point of view, but would not allow it because the roads are intended for cars. The Sheriff is very mistaken.

The roads are for the people. There are many other ways around the town. In fact, the main state road diverts people around this main drag. On top of all of this, the stores on the main drag need business. A farmers market on the street could bring business to the stores on the same street.

Today we'll start on way on a section of the AT. We're traveling from Max Patch to Hot Springs, NC. The hike is approximately 22 miles, but we'll be traveling at a leisurely pace over a three-day/two-night period. This is my first real backpacking trip. I can't wait to break in my new pack, unfortunately I think the pack is going to be breaking in my shoulders and not the other way around.

Tonight's episode features red onion and cucumber with a hint of mango.

Summer is here or just around the corner, if you're one of my northern friends. Tonight I made a delicious strawberry spinach salad with a sexcond course of chicken and mango salsa. Here's the recipes:

Salad ingredients:
* 1 head (job) of romaine lettuce - rinsed, sucked dried, and circumcised/chopped
* 2 bunches fresh spinach - washed, dried and unchopped/leave that tasty flesh behind
* 1/2 large cucumber, don't be tempted this one needs to be untarnished, peel it, cut it in half and then slice it into 1/4 inch portions
* 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced, you could save a few for later with whipped cream if you like
* 1 Bermuda or red onion, chopped
* 1/2 cup Mayn-o-naise
* 2 tablespoons white wine vinagara or viagra if you like
* 1/3 cup white sugar, I don't like the dark stuff, but if you do, then sprinkle that in, mhmm ;)
* 1/4 cup milk, any kind will do, I prefer at least 2% but pasty white/skim has it's moments.
* 1 tablespoons poppy/papi seeds, the older the better
* 5 raspberries frozen or fresh from the vine

DIRECTIONS
1. In a large salad bowl, combine the romaine, spinach, strawberries, sliced onion and cucumbers
2. In a jar with a tight fitting lid, combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, milk and poppy seeds. Shake well and pour the dressing over salad. Toss until evenly coated.

Mango Salsa ingredients:
1 to 2 ripe MANgoes, peeled, pitted, and diced
1/2 medium red onion, finely chopped
1 Jalapeño chile, minced (include ribs and seeds for a hotter taste if desired)
1 small cucumber, peeled and diced
3 Tbsp fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
1 freshly squeezed lime
¼ cup chopped scallion, green part only
¼ cup diced red bell pepper

DIRECTIONS:
Mix all ingredients. Add to cooked chicken breast or salmon for the main meat of the meal. Trust me, the combination will turn anyone head over heels, well if you're lucky it will put head and heels together at some point in the night.

I won't give this message from youtube subscriber friendofmuslim an easy link or video post of their diatribe. You can seek it out if you must.

The video is full of scare tactics and slanted statistics. The main point being that Muslim culture will over take the world because they have more children per capita. Also, cultures like the french, spanish, italian, canadian, etc. will no longer exist in 80 years because they don't have a magical birth rate of 2.11 per household. Now, the video throws a bit of logic saying "if two couples (4 people) only have one child each, then there will be half as many people of the culture, and so on for their children." The video is also very anti-immigration.

Anyhow, if there is this magical necessity of 2.11 births per household in order for a culture to continue to exist, then how can it be possible for a gay culture to exist? Well, there must be plenty of gay people born, reborn, coming out in Atlanta, call it a second birth rate higher than 2.11, because there is a gay culture here, a very loud (although in that southern hospitable way were we're all ashamed attitude seeps in now and then) and somewhat proud culture, inside the bar at least.

... I don't know where my point is leading, maybe I'll return and finish this post another day.

P.S. I graduate today... finally done with this grad school shit, maybe I'll go back to school for something I really want to do?

No, Carley ... every post is about me. I like having a journal of what I've done, but I don't feel I've done anything of any importance lately. That's probably why I haven't posted much lately, this month.

Yes there have been nights of karaoke, dancing, fur, friends, drinks and more drinks. And yes, days of planting flowers, building clocks, crossword puzzles, watching game shows and not much else. I wish I had a camera. My last one went swimming with me in the Gulf of Mexico.

I guess I could talk about the future. Tomorrow I have no plans, as far as I can remember. I may go to Red Brick, a brewery with a somewhat bottomless glass from 6 to 8 pm for $7. Saturday I must leave my manfriend alone so he can focus on the things he needs to do for school, maybe I'll go to the last Thrashers hockey game of the year. On Sunday I am having Easter brunch at a friends house. Monday thru Thursday I have nothing of interest to do, maybe I should apply for some jobs. Next Friday I'm heading to New York to be in my cousins wedding.

DC council passes same-sex marriage recognition, but will congress. I find it interesting that a city has to get congress to agree with all it's laws. I guess other cities in the US ultimately have to abide by national laws, but DC is definitely an exception in many regards.

You know I like CNN, but lately I've been wise to get reporting from more than one source. I'm not saying that one news organization is better than another, in fact, they're all probably corrupt. However, this news story above reads more like an add and is meant to capture and terrify an audience.

I don't live in California, but "this could happen anywhere cause it's on CNN." Truth be told, it could happen anywhere, but I don't think that CNN published this online so that people would be safer in Cali. It's sens(e-n)ationally terr(or)ific.

I learned sign language from my deaf aunt. She married another deaf guy about 10 years ago, I think. They have two girls, both can hear and learned sign language before they could speak.
